Here's our edit. Filmed by Wazza Munson and some of the crew and pieced together by Wazza.

Day four sees a welcome return to Kobwebs. A small shed, filled with homemade concrete shapes somewhere in the south Essex countryside.

Once we'd crossed the county we finally came across the vaguely familiar terrace of houses with a thin track down one side just outside Billericay. You practically drive through someone's front garden, down the side of the house, through the back garden before you enter a small estate of garages and outbuildings. At the back, tucked in by a maze of sheds, one of these unassuming buildings hides our destination, and venue for the beginning of Luke's downfall.

We arrived last. Our car full eagerly leaving the car and rush in only to return for boards etc. a few moments later. Me included. Our friends were already giving the place a good dusting so the camera came out pretty much as soon as we walked in the door. I did get to sit for 5 minutes in the spectators area before getting on the platforms, you'll see it in some of the photos. It's tucked up in one corner right up in the rafters accessed either via the thin platform with a pillar in it or a tight, metal spiral staircase attached, I assume securely to the floor and ceiling. With my bag I opted for the platform route!

I said hello to my crew-mates in the usual ways and the locals/builders/owners and joined them in a hastily consumed can of lager. From my vantage point I could see almost every corner of the bowl and took stock of lines and tricks being tickled.

It becomes obvious once you spend a while here that this place is not just a bowl. It's a cross between a garden shed, a lad pad and a spot. Various flags and old boards adorn the walls hung sporadically amongst stolen road signs, egg boxes and on the opposite wall from the entrance a massive Hosoi mural. I'm not sure how much the egg boxes help with noise reduction. We made an awful amount of it as the beer flowed, Slayer boomed and tricks were smashed.

A massive thank you to Frank and Ross and all the lads that made this such a great night. We left, some of us well on the way to further mirth on return to Colchester around midnight. Our exit prompted first by Jarvis spilling beer on the bowl, then by the fact that everyone was skated out and finally that our youngest crew member Fin announcing that he needed to be home about two hours ago. Not only unaware of this fact but also not in possession of a flux capacitor we loaded up and headed for Colchester to get Fin back to very unhappy parents. I dropped Fin just up the road from his house around 1am.

Driving across Colchester back to the park via fast food, Radman & I reflected on the evening and looked towards to tomorrow.

Some further skating went down but this was quickly replaced with further consumption of various solids and liquids. The park PA was silenced around three. I slept well for two or three hours on a ramp platform before dawn awoke me prematurely.
